Introduction of New Members - None

President’s comments.  President David Forlow reported that he has contacted all three sitting school board members on the District 65 board who are up for re-election in the spring.  They all told him that they are interested in running again and intend to seek caucus nomination.

Treasurer’s Report.  Lynette Foss reported that the LB School Caucus is the recipient of a donation from Concerned Taxpayers in the amount of $392.58, bringing our balance to $1,157.46.  She will be moving the account to the Lake Forest Bank & Trust.

LB 65 and LF 115 School Board Meetings.  Don Russ and Samina Waggoner attended recent meetings.  Meeting summaries previously distributed via email.

Old Business:  None.

New Business:  Neil raised an idea of making 3 to 4 yard signs promoting the caucus and/or encouraging community members to run for the school boards.  Joy reported (via email) that she found a place on the internet that can make 1,000 postcards for $73.

David Forlow reported on the open LFHS board position.  The high school held an open application period, which closed on May 28.  They received 18 applications for the position.  Five of those were from LB.  Of those five, one candidate was disqualified for incomplete application.  One candidate declined to have his/her application submitted to the caucus.  The LFHS board sent us 3 applications to consider and give them a recommendation.  The LFHS ad hoc committee has separately been conducting its own interviews, and the LF Caucus has also been conducting interviews.  Of the three submitted to us, two of them appeared for interviews at this meeting.

Candidate  Interviews.  Anne Sorensen and Rick Lesser appeared for interviews, which were conducted separately, starting at 7:20 p.m.

Interviews concluded at 8:04 p.m. The caucus entered closed session.

Caucus held voting at 8:43 and decided to inform the LFHS board that the caucus recommends Anne Sorensen for the open position.
